1. Do organizers clean your house/office?
No. Organizing may involve cleaning to some degree, but SOS specializes in sorting, purging, arranging, categorizing, and creating systems that the client can maintain once SOS is done.
2. What do Professional Organizers do?
As defined on the NAPO website: Professional organizers help individuals and businesses take control of their surroundings, their time, their paper, and their systems for life. We enhance the lives of clients by designing systems and processes using organizing principles. In short, we de-clutter the spaces you live and work in and make them more efficient.
3. Are your services confidential? I don't want anyone to know about my mess!
Don't be embarrassed. Most people are not professional organizers because they don't like organizing as much as we do. SOS adheres to the code of ethics established by the NAPO which states that we will keep confidential all client information, both business and personal, including that which may be revealed by other organizers. We will use proprietary client information only with the client's permission. And, we will keep client information confidential and not use it to benefit myself or my firm, or reveal this information to others.
4. How long will it take?
Each Organizing session is different based on the needs of the client(s) we are serving, the size of the space being organized, and how much clutter is involved. Four hours is the minimum amount of time we like to work on any project because we have found that it takes at least this much time to make sufficient progress. There may be a few projects that won't require the recommended four hours or more. We can determine that at the initial assessment.
